As we step into February, we’re excited to share what’s ahead for Each Moment We’re Alive (EMWA). Thanks to your generosity, we continue to provide tools and support for cancer survivors and their families, helping them navigate life after cancer.

Last month, we reflected on the achievements of 2024, highlighted by heartfelt testimonials from participants in our survivorship program, Living A New Day After Cancer Treatments End (L.A.N.D.). With our weekly support group operating at full capacity and a growing waitlist for survivorship programs, the increasing demand for our services underscores the vital role EMWA plays in supporting individuals on their cancer recovery journey.

A Special Thanks to Gary Rome and Hyundai Hope on Wheels as we kicked off our 2025 fundraising efforts with an incredible $10,000 donation! Their generosity ensures we can continue providing life-changing programs and services for cancer survivors and their families.

With 2025 fundraising in mind, we are excited for our first inaugural Derby Kickoff Party - Cocktails for a Cause. In partnership with Gary Rome Hyundai the dealership’s showroom will be transformed into a vibrant Derby-themed venue for a night of excitement and style! Showcase your flair in our Best Hat Competition. This night of fun and philanthropy is the perfect opportunity to gather with friends, network with business’s, enjoy delectable appetizers, a cash bar, derby style games and support the essential work EMWA does for cancer survivors. What’s Happening in February:

• New Community Collaboration:  In partnership with Holyoke Health Center, EMWA will be offering our services to such a welcoming and deserving community. This partnership marks an important step in expanding access to cancer support resources where they’re needed most.

• Program Expansion: We are broadening access to our services by creating new resources for various communities and audiences.

• Employer Partnerships: Our collaboration with local employers continues to set the stage for impactful workplace cancer support programs.
